Essential Oil Ginger Lily (15 mL)
Essential Oil Ginger Lily
Ginger Lily oil is extracted from the rhizomes of Hedychium spicatum. Â Used extensively in Ayurvedic medicine, Hedychium spicatum plants are native to the Punjab Himalayas where the roots (rhizomes) are a considerable article of commerce. The rhizomes contain minute amounts of odorous constituents in the form of essential oil and resin that, when dried, are used by the Hindus to burn as incense.
Ginger Lily oil, (aka Kapur Kachri or Sanna Oil), is a speciality oil exhibiting good tenacity, which has a fresh and diffusive woody-spicy aroma with Ginger and melon-like top notes that fade to a unique cool, creamy, faintly spicy, floral-woody drydown. It is an interesting choice for natural perfumers who are seeking an intriguing and uncommon material to add to their aromatic palette, being soluble in both fixed oils and 190 proof alcohol.
AROMA:Â Honey floral, with soft notes of mint and ginger. Â AÂ fresh, woody, warm, spicy odour with a hint of cinnamon.
